On April 26th and 27th, we had the pleasure of welcoming a very special personality to the doc4pets Academy in Idar-Oberstein greet:
Prof. Ana Nemec, an internationally recognized specialist in the field of veterinary dentistry and endodontics, led our two-day Endodontics Course – a real highlight for all participants who wanted to expand their knowledge of dental preservation in animals.
Endodontics Course – Day 1
The enormous depth of her knowledge was already evident in the theoretical units:
🔹 Detailed presentation of the diagnosis of dental trauma
🔹 Interpretation of radiological findings
🔹 Indications for endodontic procedures
This was followed by a practical insight into the complete pulpectomy:
🔹 Step-by-step preparation and disinfection of the root canals
🔹 Selection of suitable techniques and materials for a successful root canal filling
🔹 Tips and tricks from daily practice that only an experienced specialist can impart
Endodontics Course – Day 2
In the practical part The participants were able to apply these techniques directly:
🔹 Practical exercises on dental specimens
🔹 Personal, individual coaching in small groups of maximum four people
🔹 Precise work under guidance – and the opportunity to ask targeted questions and receive feedback at any time.

It was inspiring to see how much precision, attention to detail, and genuine joy in sharing her knowledge she demonstrated as she passed on her enormous expertise.

On September 13, 2025 May we welcome Prof. Ana Nemec again to the doc4pets Academy welcome – this time with the practice-oriented course „"Emergency management for jaw trauma"“!
In this intensive course you will learn how to effectively recognize and treat oral emergencies and jaw fractures in small animals.
Highlights include the repair of symphyseal separations, the use of rigid and functional fixation devices, techniques such as the Risdon/Stout method, and the repair of palatal separations.
