Practical focus for veterinary assistants:
In this course, we place particular emphasis on the practical exercise on wound cleaning. They learn to confidently handle different products and to optimally support veterinarians in wound care.
Program flow
- 09:00 – 09:15: greeting
- 09:15 – 10:15 a.m.: Fundamentals of wound care and the phases of wound healing – What does the wound need in each phase?
- 10:15 – 10:30 a.m.: Short coffee break / Questions
- 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.: Wound cleansing with practical exercises – differences between individual wound cleansing products
- 11:15 – 11:30 a.m.: Short coffee break / Questions
- 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Wound care guide from conventional to modern – methods from „the wound heals in the air“ to VAK therapy and fish skin.
- 12:30 – 13:00: Questions & Closing
About the speaker: Elia Grimm
Elia Grimm is a qualified veterinary assistant (TFA) and combines her practical veterinary medicine knowledge with many years of in-depth expertise in medical device consulting and modern wound management. After professional positions as an application specialist at MEDSER medical services and as a medical device consultant at IQVIA She deepened her expertise over five years as an Account Manager for WoundCare at Mölnlycke Health Care. There she also participated in the ICW wound expert course. Today she brings this extensive practical experience to her work as Key Account Manager Veterinary one, to provide professional support and further training to practice teams at the highest level.
