Course overview:
In this course, we will delve into the more complex areas of abdominal surgery. First, we will develop an overview of indications and current techniques in urology, before focusing specifically on the surgical treatment of urinary incontinence and injuries of the urinary tract.
In the second part of the course, we will focus on procedures on the liver and gallbladder, as well as on the pancreas and adrenal glands.
Learning objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participants will:
- be able to safely apply most methods of urinary tract surgery,
- possess in-depth knowledge in the treatment of urinary incontinence,
- have developed a solid understanding of liver surgery, including portosystemic shunt procedures and
- be able to perform complex procedures on the pancreas and adrenal glands.
