Univ.Prof. Dr. Haithem Farghali

DVM, Prof. of Surgery, Anaesthesiology and Radiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt.

Academic career:

  • Demonstrator at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University from 1998 to 2001.
  • Assistant lecturer from 2001 to 2007.
  • Lecturer from 2007 to 2012.
  • Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2017, and finally
  • Professor from 2017 until now.
    He has published 94 research articles and supervised 28 master's and 13 doctoral theses.

Professional background:

  • Owner of the Alpha Veterinary Clinic chain.
  • Advisor to the Department of Security and Guard Dog Training at the Police Academy of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior from 2017 to present.
  • Advisor to the Security and Guard Dog Training Center, Police Officers Insurance Fund, Egyptian Ministry of Interior, from 2007 to 2014.
  • Advisor to the School of Veterinary Medicine, Bader University in Cairo, Egypt, from 2021 to now.
  • Speaker for Zoetis in Egypt.
  • From 2007 until now, he has led several courses and practical workshops of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the areas of basic and advanced orthopedic operations, ultrasound examinations and soft tissue operations in small animal practice.
  • From 2011 to present, he conducted several courses and practical workshops within the framework of the Veterinary Hospital for the Treatment and Laboratory Analysis of the Armed Forces, the General Syndicate of Veterinarians and the General Authority for Veterinary Services of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture in various areas of small animal practice.
  • Worked in various veterinary surgical areas such as orthopedic surgery, stem cell therapy in neurological diseases, platelet-rich plasma in wound healing and nanogold applications in breast cancer research.
  • Currently: Working as a member of the research team of Professor Dr. Mostafa Elsaid on the treatment of mammary gland tumors with plasmonic photothermal therapy in clinically affected dogs and cats.

Dr. Stefanie Florian , Dipl.ECVS

Miss Dr. Florian is a passionate surgeon. Her areas of expertise and passions include complex liver operations, life-saving emergency operations and reconstructive surgery after accidents or tumor operations.

The Diplomate award, which represents the highest professional recognition for veterinarians, is not yet widespread among pet owners. It requires extensive training as well as rigorous examinations lasting several days and lifelong learning through continuous training and recertification. In Germany there are currently 48 veterinarians who can hold the title of small animal surgery.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Florian in the training of veterinarians. She regularly shares her extensive knowledge with colleagues in lectures, courses and seminars and is also an author of surgical literature.

In what little free time she has, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two cats.

Dipl.-Ök. Sven Jan Arndt, LL.M. (corp.-restruc.), CIA  

After his first years in well-known auditing firms such as Arthur Andersen and Haarmann, Hemmelrath & Partner, Mr. Arndt spent 20 years in management positions at various well-known start-ups such as Antwerpes AG, Falk eSolutions AG, Neu.de, Pkw.de, Weg. de, fotocommunity.de etc. He then became self-employed as a business angel and investor.

In addition to his investments, he completed a master's degree in law with an LL.M. (corp.restruc.) at the Karl Ruprechts University in Heidelberg in 2017.

In 2013 he founded doc4pets together with his wife.
